As many of you know, the owners of Unique and Special Kids Spa are also owners of a local day care.
The owner, Martia Clark, has been a Virginia licensed childcare professional for the past 14 years.
Our staff is also experienced in working in childcare. With that in mind, we wanted to offer a special
Spa Summer Camp program for the area kids to enjoy.

Our Summer Spa Camp will promote health, wellness, and relaxation. Some of the activities that we will enjoy include making our own spa products, learning massage techniques, sewing our own aprons, designing our own t-shirts, and so much more! The activities will encompass Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math (S.T.E.A.M.).

Lunch and snacks are included in the price. There will be one field trip each week.

Sign your kids up for one week or both weeks! Boys and girls are welcome!

Have you been wanting to learn how to braid your child's hair but need a hands-on learning experience?

We have just the thing for you... a Hair Braiding Class where Moms and Dads can come and learn with their child how to do three different kinds of braids:

• A Classic French Braid
• A Dutch Braid
• A Fishtail Braid

Join us on Sunday, June 9th from 3:30-5:30pm for this fun, learning experience. You will learn skills for a lifetime and your princess will have a fun time getting dolled up!

Deluxe Spa Membership Program Details:
The spa membership is for a six month contract. Your benefits will start during the month of payment. Membership is non-transferable. Membership discounts cannot be applied with any other offers. Your card will be charged monthly for the membership fee. You may cancel your spa membership after the initial six month contract ends.  If you cancel before your contract ends, a cancellation fee of one month will be issued. Benefits must be used during membership month, otherwise, they are forfeited.

Special Offer:
Sign up for the Deluxe Spa Membership (six months) and and pay the total amount for the six (6) months and get one free month. The total charged will be: $225 (normally $270). All of the benefits of this membership have an estimated value of over $550. You will continue to be charged monthly for the membership after the six month contract has been fulfilled. You may cancel anytime after the six month contract has been fulfilled. Deal valid only one time per customer.

One Sunday in March we will have a Certified Massage Therapist with us to relieve your tension.

About the Masseuse:

Deon McCutchen has been a Certified Massage Therapist and Fascial Stretch Therapist for the last 2 1/2 years. She has a background of working within prestigious spas, chiropractic offices, and  she is currently in her second season of working with NFL's Washington Redskins. Deon's passion for purposeful massage has pushed her to gain skills and certifications in Cupping Massage, Fascial Stretch Therapy (FST), Rock Blading, Rock Taping, and Medical Massage.

We are happy to serve the DMV area (Washington DC, Northern Virginia, and Maryland) as an up and coming kids spa that your girls will love in Alexandria, VA.  Even if you are not interested in a massage, take a look at our Spa Menu for the services we offer such as manicures, pedicures, facials, hairstyles, princess parties and more.

 We are excited to share a new feature to our spa, that is beneficial for children that are enrolled in home school.  S.T.E.A.M. (science, technology, engineering, arts and mathematics)  focuses on having a hands-on learning experience. The co-owner, Brandon Clark (who has a degree in biology and a passion for science) and his wife, Martia (spa owner and Virginia childcare business owner with 15 years experience teaching preschool aged children), will be hosting a S.T.E.A.M. Spa class where the kids will participate in making a spa/bath product (i.e, bath salts, lip balms, lotion, soap, etc) and also other fun experiments.

Boys and girls alike are invited to participate in this fun science experience! Lab coats and goggles will be provided. Your children will get to take home the product that they create to keep for themselves or give as gifts to loved ones.

These classes will be held at 11:30am and again at 4:30pm

For the S.T.E.A.M Spa Class, parents can use our Spa, Drop and Roll services
for the duration of the enrolled class at no additional cost.

*Classes are appointment based only and will be canceled if there are no participants scheduled.

It's confirmed...Princess Parties at Unique and Special Kids Spa are a hit with parents and kids!

We have five unique Princess Party packages that all include spa services (manicures, pedicures, hairstyles, etc), food, beverages, cupcakes, fun activities (karaoke, dress-up, a science experiment - DIY bath products), and more! We also now offer a LIVE PRINCESS to come to the party and do a coronation ceremony with the special princess!

It's official! We are open for business here at Unique and Special Kids Spa in Alexandria, VA. It was an exciting first day. You are welcome to come tomorrow, Saturday and Sunday (12/1 and 12/2) to participate in our grand opening weekend with sweets and treats for all of our clients.

Our spa is any easy commute from DC and MD, which makes it a great option for Moms, Grandmas, Aunts and friends to bring their girls for a special spa day in the Washington DC area.
